Welcome to Portslade Aldridge Community Academy (PACA) – a vibrant, inclusive school where we put every student’s progress and success at the heart of all we do.
For the last three years our results have consistently improved.
Compared to similar schools in the country, PACA is now in the top 20% as a result of the amazing working partnership we have between staff, students and families.
Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent. At PACA we aim to meet and exceed your expectations of what a school should offer. We set high expectations for all our students and we have a culture of supporting one another so our students have the best mind-set for the world after school.
Learning at PACA happens within and beyond the classroom and involves far more than the formal, taught curriculum. We instil a love of learning through our ‘expert learners’ programme in which we actively help our students to recognise their leadership and development capabilities.
For an 11-year-old, finding their way around a large school on the first day of the new term could be challenging, and that is why we make the move from primary to secondary as smooth as possible. Through our excellent transition programme, we develop the caring relationship that will support your child over the next 5-7 years as they develop the skills, knowledge, qualifications, character and ambition to create amazing opportunities and to be successful.
Our determination and focus on progress and standards enabled us to achieve a Good Ofsted judgement in every category (November 2016) and also win the Argus Most Improved School in Brighton & Hove Award 2017. I hope that you will visit us, meet our students and staff, and see through your own eyes how we unlock the potential of every young person at PACA.
