World Book Day 2022!
As last year's World Book Day was spent in lockdown for most of our students, we wanted to make sure we had a proper celebration for WBD22!
The week was launched with a visit to a local playgroup, Pavilion Pre-School, by a group of Year 9s. The students read to the younger children, sharing favourite picture books together, and the pre-schoolers were delighted with their new big friends! Year 9 represented PACA magnificently and thoroughly enjoyed their morning reading to the little ones.

The School Library ran activities at lunchtimes, including bookmark colouring and story consequences, and Year 8 Imogen ran a masterclass in Origami, expertly teaching the group how to make book corners. The Mystery Reader Competition was popular and five students managed to work out which seven members of staff on their quiz sheet were being described by the reading clues!

World Book Day on Thursday 3rd saw some incredible character costumes from students and staff and a parade was held at lunchtime so that we could all appreciate the efforts everyone had gone to! Well done to Reece and Chloe (Y10), Finny (Y9), James (Y8) and Stanley (Y7) for winning first prize in the costume competition, and runners-up Dixie, Ralph, Mischa and Lillie.
