OFSTED

OFSTED INSPECTORS VISITED THE ACADEMY IN NOVEMBER 2021.  INSPECTION FOUND PACA TO BE A GOOD SCHOOL IN ALL ASPECTS OF WHAT IT DOES.

Message from Mark Poston, Principal:

'I am pleased to announce, we received the Ofsted report of the school inspection which occurred on the 16th and 17th November 2021.  It confirms that the school retains its “good” grading and it commends the school on a range of achievements.  The Inspectors noted that, while PACA has grown, the school sense of community is strong and “everyone at PACA is known to each other”.  The report stated “Pupils are positive about the good friendships they have made”; and that “there is strong respect for diversity”; they found a school where staff “want the very best for the pupils” and that this is reflected in the calm and purposeful lessons.  The report also made note of the roles that students play in leading the school noting pupils are “proud of their roles as prefects, members of the school council, librarians, and mental health champions”.

2023 Results

Staff at PACA warmly welcomed our outgoing Year 11 students to school today to receive and celebrate their results.

These results show great levels of attainment and progress, reflecting the hard work and tenacity of a fantastic group of young people.
We are all extremely proud of the ‘Class of 2023'. They have worked hard and been well supported by their teachers, parents, carers,
and the whole community at PACA.

A few of the standout achievements from students at this year include:

  • Dillon Abbott, who achieved five grade 9s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, three grade 8s and two grade 7s
  • Edith McMaster-Byrne who achieved three grade 9s in Geography and double Sciences, five grade 8s and a grade 7
  • Dylan Stowell, who achieved five grades 9s in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science, two grade 8s and strong passes in 4 other subjects
  • Congratulations also go to Rhiannon Irving and Luca McCarthy who achieved a massive two and a half grades higher than target and collected a
tremendous collection of strong passes with grades from 9s to 7s

Edith, one of our highest scorers at PACA celebrates with Mr Poston.

Marion, with a fantastic set of results, including all 8s and 9s for maths and all three Sciences, has received a scholarship to Brighton College for sixth form.

Ellis was rightly proud with his results, gaining 8s and 9s in his Maths and Sciences. He goes on to BHASVIC to study Chemistry,
Biology and Psychology. His advice to this year’s Year 11 was to start their revision early, “doing little and often not leaving it too late”.

We are so proud of Jack who will follow his dream to study for a Level 2 diploma in ‘Hair and Makeup’ at Brighton Met.
He said Year 11 really came together when he focused on himself.

Great results in English and Maths for Dexter who goes on to study ‘Digital Marketing’ at Brighton MET.

Christian goes on to Varndean College to study Chemistry, Biology and Criminology after securing straight 8s in his sciences.

These results provide an incredible foundation for the next step in each student’s educational journey, as they go on to study A Levels, T Levels or BTECs.
We are really proud of the achievements of all our Year 11 students, which are testament to their hard work, dedication and resilience.
It has been a wonderful day celebrating our results and we look forward to seeing their continued success.
