Brighton and Hove Youth Council

PACA is proud to announce that three of its students have been elected to represent the school on the Brighton & Hove Youth Council.
This marks an exciting milestone for PACA as the students join young leaders from across the city to help shape decisions that affect local young people.

As part of their election, we asked the newly elected representatives why they chose to apply for the Youth Council:

Julia explained, “It gives me new opportunities, debates, a confidence boost, and the chance not to be afraid to say what you want to say.”

Seb shared:
“It helps me see what I can do to support the city. It has really helped with my confidence when speaking around new people.”

Bobby added:

“It’s helped me figure out what options to take at GCSE. It’s also good for developing skills like planning and organisation.”

All three students attended their first Youth Council meeting last week and are already looking forward to taking part in weekly Thursday sessions.
They are also considering applying for leadership roles within the council as they grow more confident and involved in city-wide projects.

A huge well done to Bobby, Julia, and Seb for stepping up to represent PACA and thank you to Ms. O. Wilson for supporting the campaign to ensure
PACA has a voice in the Brighton & Hove Youth Council.
