Eco Club - One Garden Project
Spring has sprung and PACA’s Eco Club have been hard at work! The students have spent the winter months clearing garden beds and are now getting their hands dirty planting vegetable seeds. Miss Webb kindly donated four willow wands to the club, which the students took great pride in planting, helping to make the garden a hub of growth.
Most recently, Eco Club went on a trip to the One Garden project in Stanmer Park, where they got to enjoy some hands-on learning about plant biology and soil composition in a workshop. They also got the opportunity to walk around the incredible walled garden and explore all the different types of plants they have growing there. It was a fantastic trip enjoyed by all, and everyone is itching to go back and explore the gardens further.
"Visiting the One Garden project was interesting; we found out what the soil in our local area was made up of and the different types of plants which can survive in them." Year 9 student
Eco Club runs on Thursdays from 3 till 4pm and everyone is welcome! Just bring yourself and a change of clothes!
