In Year 9 students, along with parents/carers and the academy are able to choose their GCSE options.  All students must choose a humanities option.

Students and their families are actively engaged in the process in order to match their ambitions with the recommendations of the academy.

Choosing Options for Year 10 is an essential part of student's learning journey through high school and it helps them to decide where they go for post 16 study and beyond. 

Our Options booklet will be sent out prior to the Options evening on 12th February. We encourage all parents and students to come along to our Year 9 Options evening to speak to subject teachers and students currently studying the subjects you may be thinking of choosing.

Key dates for Options

Thursday 12th February - Y9 Options and Parents' Evening 
(including appointments with English, Maths, Science, Geography, History, French, Spanish, Options talks with the Vice Principal and a marketplace to discuss different subjects with Heads of Departments)

Y9 Options taster day is on Friday 13th February - giving students a chance to experience different subjects in order to help them make their decision.
