Applying for a place at PACA in Year 7
As a community academy PACA operates under the Brighton and Hove Admissions Criteria for secondary schools.When your child is due to transfer from primary to secondary school, you will have to apply for a school place through the Brighton & Hove secondary schools admissions process.

Transferring to PACA in Years 8-11
If you are interested in your child joining PACA in years 8 – 11 please call our reception on 01273 416300 to make an appointment to see Ms Fiona Rafferty, who will oversee the process.
The process may take up to 4 weeks and involves:-
- A visit to the Academy for a tour and meet with Ms Rafferty
- A pre-admission meeting with the Principal Mr Mark Poston
- Assessments completed for both literacy and numeracy
In order to ensure the transfer proceeds smoothly, detailed information will be collected from your child’s current school regarding current academic grades, additional needs, attendance and behaviour.
Once all information has been gathered and assessment data received, a timetable will be organised to suit your child’s personal needs and you will be contacted regarding a start date. You can find more information in the Academy’s admissions policy.
