On Thursday 23rd February, we launched the ‘Stretch and Challenge’ project for a select group of our year 7 and 8 students. They are all going to create an artefact in their chosen subject area and present it at a celebration event on 25th May. The students have chosen projects as diverse as plays, apps, computer games, go-karts and fashion parades! They have been really enthusiastic so far and I look forward to seeing what they produce!

This week we are creating a ‘Wall of Wonder’ in the HUB featuring the best pieces of work from KS 3 and 4 students over the last term. Some of the work that I have seen so far is absolutely exceptional so please encourage students to look out for this coming soon. If their work is not on it this term, they can be thinking about what work they can produce next term for the wall.

Our outside agency, Little Green Pig, have been working hard with our students so far this term. On Friday 3rd March, they ran a creative writing workshop for some of our most able writers in year 11. The students created all sorts of amazing imagery and gained some excellent support for their English exam. As well as this, Little Green Pig run a workshop every week for some of our year 7 and 8 students. Last term, the students wrote articles for Latest 7 magazine and then visited their offices. This term, they are writing a crime play that will be put on during the Brighton Fringe Festival. If your child is interested in taking part, please ask them to go to the Imaginarium on Tuesday at 3:15.
