PACA Prospectus

PACA ProspectusOur mission is to change lives and bring about positive outcomes for all our learners. The Academy is underpinned by an ethos that supports the highest possible personal achievement for each student. We encourage and help all students to develop a passion for learning. In particular we want young people to recognise the potential that they have and we will provide the opportunities to unlock it. We believe that every student can achieve success at school, irrespective of their starting point.

We foster independent learning; students take responsibility for their own
education in order to develop an entrepreneurial attitude of self motivation,
leading to success.

Cricket Academy

Cricket Academy ProspectusThe Aldridge Cricket Academy (ACA) Sixth Form is a unique partnership between Brighton Aldridge Community Academy, Portslade Aldridge Community Academy, and the Sussex Cricket Board, supported by Sussex County Cricket Club.

Both academies delivered record GCSE results in August 2013 and are amongst the fastest improving schools in the country. At Portslade PACA achieved a 21 percentage point rise in one year to 60% of students achieving 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths. At BACA the continued rise to 46% achieving 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths means that the numbers of students achieving that benchmark has doubled in the 3 years since the academy replaced its predecessor school.
