At PACA, every day is an open day. Prospective parents are welcome to see the school in action by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to book a tour of the building at a time that suits you.

Information for Parents Regarding In-year School Transfers
It is generally in a child’s best interests to remain at the same school. If a house move, however, makes the journey too long transfer forms can be obtained from the School Admissions Team.
Please be aware that if your child is in Year 10 or 11, another school may not match the subjects that your child is studying for GCSE examinations.
If your child is experiencing difficulties
Children may be unhappy at school for a number of reasons. It is important that any issues are discussed openly with your current school in order to solve any problems.
Portslade Aldridge Community Academy’s Transfer Process
Any parent/carer who wants their child to join PACA is welcome to telephone and make an appointment to see Mr Chris Mellett who will oversee the process.
The process may take up to 4 weeks and involves:-
•A pre-admission meeting with the Principal, Ms Katie Scott and Deputy Principal, Ms Susie Cowser
•Assessments completed for both literacy and numeracy carried out by Mr James Vanstone
In order to ensure the transfer proceeds smoothly, detailed information will be collected from your child’s current school regarding current academic grades, additional needs, attendance and behaviour.
Once all information has been gathered and assessment data received, a timetable will be organised to suit your child’s personal needs and you will be contacted regarding a start date.
