Bar & Lounge Area

Our lounge is available for you to relax in at any time. We have a 48″ TV, which can be turned on for you to watch major sporting events.

Bar Opening Times

Weekday Evenings: 7.00-11.00pm 
Sunday Evenings: 7.00-10.30pm

The bar and cafe can be open at other times by arrangement with the Manager.

Hire of Bar, Lounge and Activities Rooms for Social Functions

The Sports Centre’s bar, lounge area and adjoining activities room can be hired for social functions on Saturday afternoons/evenings and Sunday afternoons. The cost is dependent upon many factors, so it is best to discuss your requirements with the Manager.

To give you some idea of the cost:
A Saturday evening function from 8.00pm-midnight will cost in the region of £160.00
An afternoon/evening wedding reception £220.00

Outdoor Facilities

The Sports Centre’s outdoor facilities include a grass football pitch and a floodlit synthetic grass pitch.

The grass pitch is normally only available for hire in August each year and the standard football match fee is £45.00

The synthetic grass pitch is available by the half area (50m x 60m) or full area (100m x 60m) and by the hour, half hour etc.

Bookings can be made as far ahead as you wish either individually or by the season.

All charges quoted are inclusive of VAT where appropriate.

Indoor Facilities

Sports Halls

The Sports Centre has two sports halls. Both are suitable for:

5-A-Side football
Basketball
Badminton
Netball
Volleyball
Cricket Nets

The hourly charge for either hall is £41.00

The halls can be hired for major events and tournaments, the prices for which are negotiable with the Manager.

Activities Rooms

The Sports Centre has two activities rooms.

These are used mostly for Centre-organised activities but can be hired out for all manner of different activities including dances, birthday parties or local meetings. The cost of hire is negotiable with the Manager.

Hire of the Sports Centre Indoor Sports Areas

Badminton
There are nine courts available between the two sports halls. 
Courts can be hired by the half hour, hour etc.
Off Peak: 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, and at weekends: £6.50 per hr.
Peak: 5.00pm onwards Monday to Friday: £7.40 per hr.

Squash
There are four courts available.
Courts can be hired in 40 min periods.
Off Peak: 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, and at weekends: £5.90 per 40mins. Peak: 5.00pm onwards Monday to Friday: £6.50 per 40mins

Table Tennis
The cost of table hire is £4.50 per hour.

Equipment Hire

Squash, badminton and racketball rackets are available: £1.00 each

You will be asked to leave a returnable deposit. No charge is made for the use of squash balls, racketballs or shuttles when rackets are hired out. We cannot loan out those items when no hire fee has been paid. All three items can be purchased from reception.

Table Tennis Bat: 50p each

Balls can be borrowed with bat hire only or can be purchased – price 80p each

Day Membership

Users who are not members of the Sports Centre (see section on Centre Membership) pay an extra 80p each in addition to the court fees mentioned above. If you think you will be a regular user, take out an annual membership and save yourself the day membership fee.
