Choosing your Sixth Form is an important decision and you need to find the place that best suits your interests, skills and talents, preparing you for your next step after college, whatever that might be. Our main goal is to prepare students to be happy and successful adults in whatever they choose to do and ensure that you are ‘life ready’ by the time you leave.
PACA’s Sixth form has 250 places and offers a mix of traditional A Levels and BTECs alongside a number of specialist academies focusing on digital media, cricket, dance and football. About half our Sixth Form stay with us from Year 11 and about half are new to PACA in year 12.
We have a new Sixth Form Centre as part of a campus development, including a state of the art STEM centre and science wing, theatre, community library, adult education centre, ICT facilities and a number of business pods to support the entrepreneurial approach of the Academy.
We have strong links with several high performing universities and a close working relationship with our local universities, Brighton and Sussex, enabling students to benefit from university library facilities and online mentors.
You can choose to study a diverse range of courses and we will work closely with you to ensure that the subjects chosen are appropriate for your style of learning and lead to progression, whether that is to university, college, an apprenticeship, employment with training, or even starting your own business.
Alongside academic qualifications, we will help you develop life skills, such as team-working, excellent communication skills and determination, vital for you to be successful in life and work.
We have a number of specialist academies in Digital Media, Cricket, Football and Dance. The sports academies combine A levels with developing a sports career or sports specialism. The digital media academy integrates studying for qualifications with working with industry partners on real life projects.
